A Federal High Court in Abuja has dismissed the order that restrained the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from going ahead with the collation of March 9th Governorship election results in Bauchi State.
The Court ruled that the order incorrect for stopping the electoral body from performing its statutory function.
The Court also ordered INEC to go ahead with the collation and announcement of the winner of the election
The incumbent Governor and candidate of the APC, Mohammed Abubakar
had challenged INEC’s decision to collate the result of the March 9 election in Tafawa Balewa local government area of the state.
The election was declared inconclusive while a supplementary election was fixed.
