Governor Nasir Dl-Rufai has asked all his political appointees to tender their resignation letters on or before the 30thof April 2019.
The Governor added that each notice of resignations must be submitted along with a handover note, signed by the political appointee on behalf of the MDA or office to which he or she had been appointed.
This development, according to the Governor is to prepare the ground for his second term in office.
The Governor noted that all commissioners in the State Executive Council, all permanent secretaries and special advisers are affected with the directive.
He, however, excluded full-time commissioners of certain State executive bodies who retain their tenured appointments in Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Civil Service Commission and Judicial Service Commission.
Others excluded are: Assembly Service Commission, the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIECOM) the Peace Commission, Public Procurement Authority and Water Regulatory Authority.
El-Rufai thanked all the political appointees for their contributions and service during his first term.
