The Senator representing Zamfara Central, Kabiru Marafa has allayed fears that the entire population in Zamfara State may be wiped out in the next two years due to spate of killings in the State.
At Thursday’s plenary, Marafa said the North is at war adding that corrupt politicians should also be blamed for the spate of insecurity in the Northern region.
‘‘Don’t get it confused, the north is at war’, in the next 2 years, there will be no one in Zamfara state due to the spate of killings in the area’.
‘There is no business in the north, but banditry, corruption is the bane of insecurity in the North”.
‘‘The criminals in the bush are not half as deadly as the ones living with us in the cities’’. Marafa said.
The Senate also summoned the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu over spate of kidnappings in Nigeria.
