A cross-section of Nigerians have celebrated the release of Zainab Aliyu, a Nigerian woman arrested in Saudi Arabia for drug trafficking.
Zainab was received by officials of the Nigeria Consulate in Jeddah shortly after her release from prison.
Shortly after the news was broken, many Nigerians took to Twitter to celebrate her release.
The Senator, representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani had at the floor of the Senate moved a motion on the need to secure Zainab’s release.
He, however, in a Tweet expressed delight upon hearing the news of her release.
Rootstv Nigeria had reported how some airport syndicates were allegedly planting drugs in innocent passengers bags at the Mallam Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Airport.
The Saudi Authority had March executed a Nigerian lady, Kudirat Afolabi who was found guilty of trafficking illegal drugs into the country.

Maybe or maybe not but leah case is a case of home terrorism which is more complex that zainab’s case. The government negotiated the release of the other girls and Leah’s didn’t denounce her faith which also made it more harder for the government to get her released.
