The Acting Inspector General of Police (I –G), Mohammed Adamu has ordered the immediate redeployment of the Commissioner of Police in charge of Kaduna state Command, Ahmed Abdulrahaman.
Adamu ordered that the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Aji Janga should take over from Abdulrahman who has been redeployed to the Force Intelligence Bureau, Abuja.
Kaduna state had witnessed scores of killings and kidnapping cases in recent weeks most especially on the road that linked the state to the Federal Capital Territory.
The police said the deployment of Abdulrahman and others was aimed at rejigging the fight against armed banditry, kidnapping and other sundry crimes across the nation, particularly in Kaduna and other contiguous States.
