Former President, Goodluck Jonathan has arrived South Africa to monitor the country’s general election scheduled for May 8.
Jonathan is heading the election mission of the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA).
Jonathan in a series of Tweets expressed delight about how the democracy is evolving in Africa with conduct of peaceful electoral process.

Jonathan had in May 2018 led the EISA mission to the Sierra Leone elections.
He also co-led a mission of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) to monitor Liberia’s presidential polls in 2017.
