The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has said the Senate President, Bukola Saraki is not above following his reaction to the latest move by the anti-graft agency to probe his earnings as governor of Kwara State between 2003-2011.
EFCC said while it respected the Senate President’s prerogative to ventilate his views on the matter, “the Commission takes strong exception at the desperate attempt to cast a slur on its investigative activities by portraying Saraki as a victim of persecution”.
The anti-graft agency added that it finds the attempt by the Senate President to tie it inquest to his International Human Rights Commission, IHRC.
