The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) received confirmation from the Governor Abubakar Bagudu for the commencement of payment of new national minimum wage of 30,000 in Kebbi.
Umar Alhassan, the chairman of NLC said that the governor gave the assurance that once the state receives the relevant circular, that the state will take action.
Alhassan assured the civil servants that the state did not have problem with the implementation of the new structure.
He praised the governor for using funds from the Paris Club to pay the salaries of civil servants and pensioners without leaving outstanding payments.
