Nollywood romantic movie ‘2 Weeks in Lagos’ premiered at the 72nd edition of the prestigious Cannes Film Festival in France.
The movie was produced by an award-winning writer and director, Kathryn Fasegha, screened at the Pavillion Afriques and dedicated to Pan-African film industry professionals at the Film Market section.
The ‘2 Weeks in Lagos’ movie captured the complexity lifestyle, excitement and vibrant of everyday life in Lagos, depicting a romantic journey of Ejikeme (Mawuli Gavor) and Lola (Beverly Naya), who met when the former, an investment banker returned from the US to invest in Nigerian.
The romantic story met a bridge in the relationship with the interference of Ejikeme’s mother’s political ambitions which caused a deadly commotion in the family.
The movie featured top Nollywood stars Joke Silva, Jide Kosoko, Toyin Abraham and Shaffy Bello. Other cast include Mawuli Gavor, Beverly Naya and Tina Mba, among others.
