President Muhammadu Buhari has been sworn-in for a second term in office.
Buhari was declared winner of the February 2019 Presidential Election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The swearing-in, conducted by the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Mohammed saw the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo taking the oath first before President Muhammadu Buhari took his turn.
The ceremony also witnessed the lowering and hoisting of the National and Defence flag. signifying the end of immediate past dispensation and beginning of a new dispensation
At the ceremony were Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, APC National Leader, Bola Tinubu former Head of State Yakubu Gowon and Governors of Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu.
Notable absentees were former Presidents, Goodluck Jonathan, Olusegun Obasanjo, Earnest Shonekan and Ibrahim Babangida.
