There has been outrage on Twitter with the reported killing of another girl by a suspected serial killer in PorthHarcourt.
The yet to be identified lady was strangled to death with her hands and legs tied by the suspected serial killer.
However, the Nigerian Twitter community visibly condemned the killing calling on the authorities to expedite action and bring the perpetrators to book.
Her death was not the first in recent weeks as other young women have been killed in similar manner.
There had been protest over the continued killings of young women with the Police Commissioner advising young women to shun prostitution.
“In as much as societal values are disintegrating, we must go back to try to educate them (women) and discourage them from going into prostitution because that is how they fall victim to these crimes.” Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Administration, Chuks Enwonwu, had said while addressing protesters.
The comment of the Deputy Police Commissioner was widely condemned by the Nigerian Twitter Community.

How is being a prostitute a good enough reason to get killed by a psycho ?? Aren’t prostitutes humans ? Don’t they have the right to live as everyone else ?? #PHCSerialKiller

Blaming prostitution for the death of women in PH, is so stupid!!!

Even if these girls were Sex workers, what kind of human being would you be to justify murder just because these women are in a line of work you don't agree with.
P.S:What anyone does with their body isn't even your business. #PHCSerialKiller— JSA (@Unbrokenchords) September 16, 2019
