The Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate in the February 23 election, Atiku Abubakar have formally filed an appeal against the judgement of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal at the Supreme Court.
Mike Ozekhome (SAN), who was also in the legal team of Atiku and PDP, said that the appeal was filed on 66 grounds. They believed justices of the tribunal erred in their judgement on Atiku and PDP’s petition against the election of President Buhari, which was dismissed by the five-member panel led by Justice Mohammed Garba as incompetent and lacking merit.
However, the highlights of the 66-ground appeal include Buhari’s certificate controversies, INEC server denials, inconsistency in Nigerian Military board claims and discrepancies in examination grades.
