The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC), says it has received complaints about the implementation of the social investment scheme headed by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo.
EFCC, Chairman, Ibrahim Magu disclosed this at the 15th Anti-Corruption Situation Room in Kaduna.
Represented by the Spokesman of the Commission, Wilson Uwuajaren, Magu said complaints received were in the area implementation of the schemes where sand were bagged and supplied in place of fertilizer.
According, to him, “the nation cannot afford a situation in which these programmes go the way of the Niger Delta Development Commission, an international agency whose impact is yet to be fully felt by the people of the Niger Delta despite huge resource allocation over the years”. He said
Osinbajo’s office had become focus of national discourse following the dissolution of his Economic Management Team was recently dissolved and replaced with the Economic Advisory Council (EAC) which will report directly to the President.
