Suspected herdsmen from Igangan in Oyo State reportedly stormed Imeko in Ogun State and killed three hunters in the early hours of Monday.
It was gathered that the herdsmen left Igangan, which is a few kilometers away from Ogun State, and invaded Imeko community.
They were said to have met stiff resistance by hunters in the area but three lost their lives in the gun duel with the herdsmen.
A source in the area said operatives of the security outfit launched by the state government last month asked the hunters to face the herdsmen while they went to sleep.
The source said, “Three hunters were killed overnight by Fulani herdsmen that left Igangan.”
