Nigeria has recorded 558 new cases of COVID-19 and two deaths from COVID-19-related complications.
According to an update posted on Friday morning on the official Facebook page of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the cases were recorded on Thursday.
Thursday’s figure is higher when compared with the 535 cases reported on Wednesday.
The recent figure now ranks as the highest daily tally recorded since March 4 when 708 cases were reported in the country.
The has raised the total infections in the country to 178,821.
However, with the two dead on Thursday, the total death toll in the country now stands at 2,141.
