The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Shuaibu Ibrahim on Monday warned against lobbying done by corps members to get rejected during postings.
Ibrahim disclosed this during his virtual address to 2021 Batch B Stream II Prospective Corps Members and Camp Officials nationwide.
He said, “Corps members must not lobby to be rejected when posted to their places of primary assignment after the orientation course.
“Choose and execute viable projects in your host communities in order to leave lasting legacies. Meet men and women of goodwill to sponsor projects.
“Remember, you are not to use your personal funds to carry out projects either individual or group.
“In order to win award, Corps members must not relocate out of their original state of deployment.
Ibrahim added, “Ex-corps members and those serving have done a lot under the SAED Programme and are still doing well with the various skills set.”
