Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, paid a courtesy visit to former Head of State, Ibrahim Babangida, on Tuesday ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Sharing pictures of the visit on social media, Mr Abubakar wrote: “At a courtesy visit to former military President Ibrahim Babangida and Gov Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State in Minna today.”
The former vice president’s visit came days after another presidential aspirant, Bola Tinubu, visited the former head of state seeking his ‘blessings’ for his 2023 ambition.
Atiku had earlier visited Governor Sani Bello, who had endorsed Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2023 presidency.’
Although Mr Atiku has not declared his intention to join the race yet, it is widely believed that he has eyes on the position.
