Ahead of its March 26th national convention, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has begun the sale of nomination forms for the national chairmanship position and each aspirant is expected to pay N20 million each for each form.
The National Leader of the APC Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Ismail Ahmed, disclosed this to journalists while unveiling the guidelines and timetable for the party’s national convention at the Eagle Square, Abuja, on Tuesday.
Ahmed however, revealed that the committee reduced the fees for various positions by 50% for women and people with disability.
Aspirants for the office of deputy national chairman will pay N10 million, while other positions in the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party will pay N5million each.
As seen in the document signed by the party’s Director of Organization, Al-Mustapha Medaner, the aspirants have between March 14 and 18, 2022 to obtain the forms.
The five aspirants include a serving Senator and two term Governor of Nasarawa State, Tanko Al-Makura; George Akume, Sani Musa, Saliu Mustapha and Abdullahi Adamu, another former governor of Nasarawa State and serving senator.
