The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, invited all Senators on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to celebrate Iftar at his official residence on Tuesday.
Iftar is the meal Muslims eat after sunset during Ramadan to break fasting for the day.
Osinbajo’s invitation was read at plenary on Tuesday by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
“The meeting is fixed for April (today) and it will be held at the State House banquet hall in Abuja,” Lawan read.
It was gathered that the same invitation was also extended to members of the APC caucus in the House of Representatives but scheduled for Wednesday, April 13.
The letter to the House of Reps was read by the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase.
It read, “In the spirit of the holy month of Ramadan, it will be my great pleasure to host you and all members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in the Federal House of Representatives to the Iftar/Easter dinner on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.”
