The National Assembly will proceed on its two-month annual recess ahead of the last lap of the 9th Assembly.
At resumption of plenary on Tuesday, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, said the lawmakers would proceed on their annual break on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the lawmakers suspended legislative activities till Wednesday in honour of a member of the House, Jude Ise-Idehen, who died during the break.
Until his death on July 1, 2022, at the age of 52, Ise-Idehen, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, represented Egor/Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency in Edo State.
Gbajabiamila, in his brief opening remarks, noted that the adjournment was customary.
