Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan walked away with a cheque of $100,000 for breaking the world record in the women’s 100m hurdles event in Eugene, Oregon.
The 25 year-old finished with a scorching 12.06s (+2.5m/s) which would have been her second World Record (WR) of the evening but for the excess wind.
Amusan who is the current Commonwealth Champion beat Jamaica’s Britany Anderson who finished second and Olympic Champion from Cuba, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn who came third.
