The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibadan Zonal Command, apprehended forty-four (44) suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan, Oyo State on Friday, April 14, 2023.
They were apprehended in Ibadan’s Apete Bodija area after actionable intelligence on their fraudulent internet operations led to their detention.
Aparimo Ogunfunminiyi Ojoola, Olalekan Taoreed Millier, Olamide Animashaun Ademola, Rotimi Samson, Waheed Abeeb Olamilekan, Jelili Abeeb Afolabi, Olamide Azez Ayinla, Mohammed Lawal Segun, Peter Seyi Iyanuoluwa, Akinmoju Kolawole, Ibrahim Akande Abiodun, John Oluwatimilehin Moses, Oshurinade Samuel, Maradeyo Abeeb Abiodun, Ogunmola Oluwabori Michael, Aderomu Gbenga Micheal, Akinrinola Pelumi Sunday, Adeola Tunji Opaniyi Yakubu Olasunkanmi, Oyedele Isreal Sunday, Fiyin Adebayo Omotosho, Oladele Oladimeji John, Gbolahan Qudus and Lawal Muiz Gbolahan, are the alleged cybercriminals.
Others include: Alonge Timilehin Isreal, Akinlade Tolulope Seyi, Taiwo Oluwatobiloba Daniel, Adesina Sodiq Ishola, Victor Paul Shedrack, Olwawale Oladapo Olaleye, Muili Olamilekan Sodiq, Babalola Afeez Bolaji, Adeagbo Stephen Adegbenro, Ephraim Isaiah Joshua, and others.
Among the items discovered were ten exotic automobiles, two motorcycles, fifty-three (53) mobile phones, four laptops, one JBL speaker and one PS game with two pads.
As soon as the investigation are completed they will be charged in court.
