The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Interior on Wednesday 19th April 2023 has announced April 21st and 24th as public Holidays for the celebration to mark the EID-FITR celebration.
Aregbesola, the Interior minister congratulates the Muslim faithful across Nigeria for the completion of a full lengthy month fast, during the month of Ramadan, as he encourages the Muslim faithful to imbibe the spirit of Ramadan in preaching love, kindness, tolerance they have shown during the holy month of Ramadan.
Meanwhile, the Federal Road Safety Corps has mobilized logistics and personnel for the Eid-el-Fitri celebration to enhance visibility and guarantee safe travels for all road users before, during, and after the celebration in Nigeria.
The Corps Marshal, FRSC, Dauda Biu, mandated a “reduction in road traffic crashes, road traffic fatalities and road traffic injuries.”
He tasked his men to ensure “prompt response to road traffic crash victims and engagement of robust public education and enlightenment across all media platforms.”
“Speedy removal of obstructions from the highways, intensified enforcement on critical offences; and adequate supervision, surveillance and monitoring of all”
