The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has inaugurated the new Nigeria Customs Service Corporate Headquarters in Abuja.
Construction started in 2007 due to the need for a suitable building for the service, and the need for more space.
After redesigning and remodeling, the building is now ready for commissioning.
The new smart Corporate Headquarters cost the NCS N19.6 billion, the Deputy Comptroller-General of Customs, Mr Adewale Adeniyi, said at a news conference in Abuja on Monday.
Adeniyi, Chairman, Organising Committee for Commissioning of the edifice, said the building had a 12-floor tower with five floors on both wings of the tower and “bridges” linking the two wings.
