Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the Governor of Kwara State, has been elected as the latest Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum.
By consensus, Abdulrazaq was chosen during a closed-door meeting of the Governors held in Abuja late Tuesday night.
He is taking over from Aminu Tambuwal, the outgoing governor of Sokoto State who became the chairman of the Forum in 2022.
Kayode Fayemi, the former Governor of Ekiti State, served as the substantive Chairman of the NGF until his second term in office ended in 2022, allowing his deputy, Tambuwal, to take over.
