The anticipated Wednesday arraignment of the suspended Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, on charges of alleged N6.9 billion procurement fraud, has once again been postponed.
Emefiele, who appeared in court last Thursday, was slated for arraignment, but the proceedings were delayed due to the absence of the second defendant, Sa’adatu Yaro, who was reported to be unwell.
The case which was adjourned to 23rd August was not included in the schedule of a Federal Capital Territory, FCT High Court session in Abuja on Wednesday, as neither party’s lawyers were present in court.
As of now, No reason is stated for the non-inclusion of the case in the court.
