Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, Barr. Hannatu Musawa has firmly refuted reports circulating in the media regarding her NYSC status.
In a statement issued by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, the minister clarified that she has not made any official statement on the matter and urged the public to exercise caution when encountering unverified information.
However, her absence of proof of participation in the mandatory national youth service program since her university graduation has triggered a flurry of criticisms from Nigerians.
Upon her confirmation, Minister Musawa asserted that she completed her youth service in 2003, but the National Youth Service Corps disputes this claim, alleging that she discontinued her service prematurely and withheld her certificate.
