University of Calabar’s Prof. Grace Etuk has urged Nigerian politicians to make sacrifices in 2024, emphasizing the need for leaders to be sensitive to citizens’ struggles.
Responding to President Bola Tinubu’s call for hope and improved national efforts, Etuk suggested that politicians should also be paid N30,000, aligning their income with the minimum wage for a clearer understanding of citizens’ survival challenges.
She advocated for Nigerian leaders to emulate counterparts in the Western world who shed excessive luxuries for the benefit of the nation and its people.
