President Bola Tinubu has sanctioned the suspension of Halima Shehu from her roles as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and National Coordinator of the National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA).
The decision, made in response to alleged wrongdoing, prompts an immediate investigation into Shehu’s conduct.The National N-Power Programme manager, Dr. Akindele Egbuwalo, has been appointed as the acting NC/CEO during the investigation.
Halima Shehu, appointed by President Tinubu in October 2023 and confirmed by the Senate on October 18, 2023, previously served as the National Coordinator of the Conditional Cash Transfer Programme, contributing to the digitalization of the initiative.
