The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, has emphasized the significance of regional cooperation in addressing the recurring sit-at-home directive in the Southeast, often enforced by a faction of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Lt. Gen. Lagbaja, during his visit to the 14 Brigade in Abia State on Wednesday, underscored the necessity of collective efforts from leaders and communities to restore normalcy and facilitate the resumption of socio-economic activities.
While commending the troops for their dedication to maintaining peace in the region, Lt. Gen. Lagbaja urged them to persist in their essential duties with professionalism, respect for human rights, and adherence to established operational guidelines.
