The Nigerian Police Force has expressed its strong disapproval of the widely used slang, “No go gree for anybody,” cautioning against its adoption by youths and citizens across the country. The slogan, gaining widespread attention, is interpreted by many as a declaration to stay true to personal beliefs and resist external influence.
However, the police, as communicated by spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, issued a warning during a press briefing on Wednesday, suggesting that the slogan could lead to potential unrest and even incite a revolution in the country.
Adejobi emphasized the security community’s view that “No go gree for anybody” is considered a dangerous slogan with the potential to trigger crises. The slogan has already become a trend, featuring in memes, posts, and even clothing items on social media.
