MultiChoice has readjusted its subscription rates for DStv and GOtv users in Nigeria following a court order mandating it halt a planned price hike.
The adjustments come after the Competition and Consumer Protection Tribunal in Abuja issued a ruling against the company’s intended price increases.
MultiChoice, which reported a decline in its Nigerian subscriber base resulting in a loss of over a million subscribers, initially vowed to challenge the tribunal’s ruling.
However, the company has now complied with the order and updated the subscription rates on its apps as of Sunday, June 16, 2024.
