Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Dutsinma FUDMA, Prof Armaya’u Bichi, has raised concerns about some university staff allegedly serving as informants to bandits.
Speaking to newsmen in Katsina on Tuesday, Bichi revealed that the contacts of these suspected staff members have been handed over to a security agency for further investigation.
He disclosed that despite providing information to security agencies, there has been no feedback or action taken against the suspected staff.
Reacting to the allegations, ASP Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command, stated they were not previously aware of the issue but assured further investigation would be conducted.
