The House of Representatives has initiated an investigation into the National Hajj Commission NAHCON and the Federal Capital Territory Administration Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board over alleged mismanagement during the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.
Sada Soli of Jibia/Kaita Federal Constituency, Katsina State, was appointed chairman of the ad-hoc committee tasked with investigating the matter.
The committee aims to address concerns raised about the poor handling of approximately 50,865 Nigerian pilgrims amidst substantial budget allocations and international support.
