Nigerian passport holders intending to visit the United Arab Emirates, UAE, must pay a non-refundable N640,000 fee to obtain a Document Verification Number, DVN, before applying for a visa.
The DVN, valid for 14 days from issuance or until the visa application is processed, aims to ensure that all necessary documents are digitally verified and authenticated.
Meanwhile, the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA, has facilitated the repatriation of 190 Nigerians from the UAE.
The returnees were received at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja at 5.45 am Tuesday. Director of the North Central Zone, Bashir Idris Garga, noted that the returnees were sensitized to uphold decorum and responsibility upon their return to Nigeria.
