Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has expressed doubts about the state’s ability to meet the N70,000 minimum wage benchmark due to limited financial resources.
During a meeting on the upcoming #Endbadgovernance protest, Yahaya revealed that many states might face similar difficulties and voiced concerns about delays in receiving essential federal supplies, including 20 trucks of rice.
He, however, praised the federal government’s support and emphasized the state’s ongoing efforts in human capital development and social welfare.
Yahaya called for peaceful conduct during the protest and urged continued cooperation and dialogue to address economic and social challenges.
