APC to Punish Amosun for ‘Embarrassing’ Buhari at Presidential Rally.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has promised to take punitive measures against Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun and other Senior Party Leaders for allegedly premeditating attacks on President Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole at the venue of the presidential campaign rally in Ogun State.
The party said the action was an act of indiscipline adding that it will take a decision on the matter immediately after the elections.
APC National Chairman was forced to abandoned his speech at the APC Ogun rally so as to calm the frayed nerves of angry supporters who pelted him with sachet water.
The President was as well booed when he raised up the hand of the APC candidate, Dapo Abiodun.
Trouble started at the Ogun State Chapter of the APC as following the recognision of Dapo Abiodun as the Governorship candidate of the party by the APC National leadership against Governor Amosun preferred choice,While it was not immediately clear what led to the incident, the anger was reportedly over the party’s primaries where Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s preferred candidate was Abiodun Akinlade.
