The Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola has demanded that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) be transparent ahead of Saturday’s Presidential and National Assembly Elections.
The minister, who is also the APC’s Director of Election Planning and Monitoring also berated INEC for the postponement of the election last week Saturday saying the Commission ought have prepared better in terms of logistics arrangement.
He also want the electoral body to give daily briefing on their activities to ensure that the rescheduled elections will go ahead as planned.
Fashola also want INEC to explain the logistics challenges it had with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) that led to the shift in election and what steps they are putting in place to address those challenges.
