Atiku’s Supporters Flood Social Media With Messages of Solidarity

Thousands of followers of the PDP presidential candidate in the February 23rd presidential election, Atiku Abubakar have taken to micro-blogging site- Twitter- to express their solidarity and enduring support to the runner up in the much-disputed poll.
The Nigerian Twitter Space has been receiving multiple messages laced with the hash-tag- #IstandWithAtiku.

Popular anti-SARS activist- Segun “Segalink” Awosika tweeted- “I am in full support of the litigation on the stolen mandate of the collective. I will give my all- heart and call in various favours to ensure justice is served.” Ending with the hash-tag- #IstandWithNigeria, #IStandforJustice and #IStandWithAtiku on this. “This is the worst election in the history of our democracy.”

Another Twitter user- Michael Pepple tweeting through the handle- @MichalePepple_T offered his own support this way- “Dear @Atiku, As part of my contribution to the eminent litigation to retrieve the mandate of the people from the usurper @MBuhari and the @OfficialAPCNG, I am pledging N10, 000 worth of stationeries for the legal team. And another N10, 000 worth of water. #IStandWIthAtiku

Praise tweeting through the handle @Supapraise said thus “Dear @Atiku, you are a brave man. We supported and still support you. If you bow to this hideous pressure to rescind your decision to go to court, then you will let down the confidence of close to 11M believers in this democratic undertaking. #IstandWithAtiku”

Anthony Ehilebo whose twitter handle is @AnthonyEhilebo weighed in with the following words- “Ask me 1 million times… and I will answer 1 million times. #IStandWithAtiku. He must pursue every legal avenue to retriev our mandate freely given on the 23rd of February 2019.”

The #IstandWIthAtiku hash-tag has continued to trend on the Nigeria Twitter space till late Tuesday afternoon as millions of Nigerian youths rise in their numbers to encourage the PDP candidate to ignore those asking him to jettison his avowed decision to head to the courts and prove that he and not Muhammadu Buhari of the APC won the presidential election held 10 days ago.
