Former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has urged his supporters to come out in full numbers on Saturday to vote for the candidates of the party in the Governorship and the National Assembly elections.
Atiku, in a video broadcast on Thursday thanked the party supporters for their show of love during the Presidential election.
He said he was proud that he got the overwhelming support from the electorates adding that they “defended their votes in the face of intimidation and criminal conspiracy by the incumbent government”.
“By your actions on Saturday, February 23rd 2019, you’ve demonstrated to the World that Democracy works and wherever and whenever democracy works, the will of the people always prevail..”
Atiku insisted that the march for the PDP to retrieve its ‘mandate’ will not be stopped.
The Presidential Tribunal had granted Atiku’s request for INEC to allow his team to inspect the electoral materials used for the Presidential elections.
