The minister of transport and the leader of the All Progressives Congress-APC- in Rivers State, Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi has enjoined APC supporters in the state to work very hard on Saturday to elect Biokpomabo Awara of the African Action Congress –AAC- as the next governor of Rivers State.
Explaining the choice of the AAC candidate, the former Rivers governor announced that the AAC and APC share in the singular commitment of working to get justice for Rivers people. He informed the APC faithful in Eleme on Wednesday that adequate security arrangements have been made to ensure their safety assuring them that no one would be allowed to hurt them or manipulate the polls figures on Saturday.
The transport minister promised that if Biokpomabo of the AAC is elected on Saturday, he will upon inauguration in May organize a local government elections for the councils by June to elect credible grassroots leaders.
