Kogi state governor- Yahaya Bello- has expressed displeasure with the low voter turnout in today’s house of assembly polls in the state unlike what was witnessed a fortnight ago where voters trooped out in their hundreds of thousands for the presidential and national assembly elections.
The governor bared his mind to reporters after casting his ballot at Agasa Uvete polling unit 011 in Okene LGA of the state.
Governor Bello- accompanied by his two wives- had his accreditation done swiftly today unlike in the February 23rd elections where the card reader for his unit failed severally.
The governor commended INEC for addressing some of the hiccups experienced in the earlier round of polls.
Governorship election in Kogi would not be due until sometime in November this year when governor Bello would be rounding off his first term of four years.
