The PDP Presidential candidate in the February 23rd election has blamed the low voter turnout witnessed across the country in today’s guber/state houses of assembly elections on loss of voter confidence following what he called “wide-spread irregularities” that marred the conduct of the presidential and national assembly elections.
Speaking to newsmen after casting his vote at the Ajiya polling unit 02 of Gwadabawa ward of Yola North in Adamawa State, north east Nigeria, the former vice president attributed the incidence of low voter turnout recorded in today’s polls on some of the unfortunate incidence which characterized the elections of two weeks ago.
He called on Nigerians to however keep faith in democracy even as he reiterated his decision to challenge the outcome of the presidential election won by President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC in court.
