Seyi Makinde, the PDP guber candidate who has just been declared winner in the Oyo governorship election has expressed his gratitude to the Oyo voters for being resolute and firm in their determination to reject the fleecing of the state’s resources by local political actors who collaborate with “external forces.”
He addressed thousands of supporters Monday morning at his Ikolaba Ibadan home amidst cheers and songs of victory. He called on the people to join him as he works towards fulfilling his campaign promises aimed at transforming the fortunes of the state.
The governor-elect condemned the violence and loss of lives in the recently concluded elections. He regretted that the state lost a legislator- Olatoye Temitope- aka- Sugar- who was shot in the head on Saturday by gunmen.
