SHIITES PROTEST:BUSINESS OWNERS RECOUNT LOSES

Tuesday’s violent protest by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria also known as Shiite in the Nigerian Capital Abuja continues to haunt the country.
But twenty four hours after the violent encounter between the Shiite movement and security operatives businesses bounced back in the area.
 ROOTS TV NIGERIA Spoke  to some business owners around the “theater of war” who   recounted their ordeals.

As controversy continues to trail the minimum wage that is being demanded by Nigeria Labour Congress, the union has fixed N66,500 as new minimum wage, while critizing the governors’ Forum for fixing minimum wage at N22,500. Tuesday’s emergency meeting by Nigeria’s state governors held in Abuja was meant to calm the brewing crisis between the Nigeria Labour Congress and the Federal government over the increment in the national minimum wage.
