KADUNA KILLINGS-CURFEW IMPOSED IN THE STATE CAPITAL

About 55 persons are confirmed dead in fresh violence in Kaduna, the state capital of Kaduna state. The state government has imposed a 24 hour curfew on the state capital and its surrounding areas. Governor, Nasir El- Rufai announced via his twitter handle. He asked residents to act in compliance with the directives, following insinuations of reprisal attacks in Kasuwa Magani area of the state. Mallam El-Rufia has assured, that the perpetrators of the gruesome act will be brought to book.

EDO IMPEACHED SPEAKER HANDS OVER TO PREDECESSOR

The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Victor Edoror has been impeached on the allegations of corruption,high handedness and desperation. The development led to a pandemonium in the Assembly Complex as security operatives shot in the air to disperse angry supporters of the impeached speaker.

EPILEPTIC POWER SECTOR TO RECEIVE SUPPORT IN 2019

The Nigeria government has unveiled plans to generate additional four thousand two hundred mega watts of electricity to the national grid within the next twelve to eighteen months. Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah said the move currently coordinated by the Nigeria Industrial Policy and Competitive Advisory Council Chaired by the Nigerian Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo will deploy under utilised power assets to deliver incremental power supply to the country.
