The Federal Government has issued a travel alert to Nigerians planning to visit the United Kingdom, citing an increased risk of violence and disorder following recent riots in the UK. The unrest stems from the tragic killing of three young girls at a concert.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that the violence has reached dangerous proportions, with reported attacks on law enforcement agents and significant damage to infrastructure.
The Ministry advises citizens to be extra vigilant and avoid political processions, protests, rallies, or marches.
Nigerians in the UK are urged to contact the High Commission to pass on any information that could be of interest.
