The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Wednesday morning, staged a protest at the Corporate Affairs Commission’s (CAC) Headquarters in Abuja, over alleged unfriendly policies against workers of the commission.
The NLC President, Ayuba Waba, led executive and members of unions to the action intended to change certain policies considered to be against the interest of workers of the organization.
The protest started as early as 8:00 am, thereby preventing workers from gaining entry into the building
Waba, while speaking at the protest ground, alleged that the Registrar General of CAC, Garba Abubakar, delayed staff promotion and brought in environmental experts to fumigate the agency for a whooping N35million in view of the Coronavirus pandemic.
Among other allegations raised by NLC was that Abubakar transferred married female staff out of the Commission.
