The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) said on Thursday that Faisal Maina, son of Abdulrasheed Maina, the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reformed Task Team (PRTT), has fled to the United States.
EFCC’s prosecuting counsel, Mohammed Abubakar, stated this at the Federal High Court in Abuja, where Maina’s son is being prosecuted on three counts of money laundering.
Abubakar added that from the information at the disposal of the anti-graft agency, Faisal sneaked to USA through Niger Republic.
Earlier during Thursday’s sittings, Judge Okon Abang, in a committal proceeding ruling, ordered Faisal’s surety, who is a member of House of Representative, Sani Dan-Galadima (Kaura-Namoda, Zamfara), to forfeit a property used as a bail bond.
