The State Security Service (SSS) has arraigned five Buhari-Must-Go protesters, who were arrested at Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja, before a Magistrate Court.
This is coming two days after the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the SSS to release the five protesters.
Recall that the protesters, Ben Manasseh, Anene Udoka, Henry Nwodo, Samuel Larry and Samuel Gabriel were arrested on July 4, 2021, for wearing T-shirts with the inscription, ‘Buhari-Must-Go.’
On Monday, July 26, Justice Anwuli Chikere of the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered the Nigerian secret police to immediately release the five detainees.
Rather than comply with the court’s order, the SSS brought the defendants before a Magistrate’s Court at Mpape this morning on charges bordering on disturbance of public peace.
However, the court granted the protesters bail.
